You can probably tell that I adore DriveClub (and yes if I love it so much why don't I marry it?) and it's something that I've never been able to find again in any other racer. They always tend to feel either too clinical in their sim-iness, or too goofy in their arcade-iness. I really don't think I can put it any better than that. Truthfully I'm not even much of a car person, but there was just something about DriveClub that clicked. I've been playing Project Cars 3 and it almost felt like it began to scratch that itch, but the game feels a bit flat and I struggle to pinpoint why. The driving feels fantastic and I quite like some of the car customisation, but it still feels lacking. The dynamic weather system doesn't feel fully baked in to the experience.
